Lindemans 2012 Bin 50 Shiraz

Our neighbor recently brought over a 2012 Lindemans Bin 50 Shiraz from South Eastern Australia, the Limestone Coast around the Coonawarra region. It is a very inexpensive but surprisingly good wine rated as an 86 by Wine Spectator and picked as one of their biggest bargains. Tasting notes described it as a dry wine with a deep ruby/purple color; floral, blackberry and eucalyptus on the nose with rich spicy berry fruit flavors; dry, medium to full-bodied, with a spicy sweet fruit center and good length. We decided that there was a hint of leather when first opened but that dissipated with time.

  1. Marnie, Thank you for the kind words. I don't do that for just anybody! But when a book such as your Mask Among the Bones not only has an exciting theme but is beautifully written, then it's such a pleasure.

Oh, by the way, I'll happily accept your appreciation offer; the Shiraz above will do just fine.

Best wishes and good luck with your new novel. I am looking forward to the next.

  2. Thank you. Hope you enjoy the Greg Norman. Will be doing a blog on it soon. It's a really nice wine to keep on your watch list.
